If you know you would like to live a more natural lifestyle but are a bit overwhelmed on how to go about making the switch, using essential oils in place of your typical cleaning products will not only make a significant reduction in your toxic intake but is very simple and cost effective to do. The OnGuard Cleaner Concentrate is the perfect substitute for the majority of cleaners found in stores. I use it to wash dishes, wipe down my counter tops, kitchen table, bathroom surfaces, for everyday messes and even mop my floor with it. You can use it on it’s own or mix with additional essential oils of your choice. I also have just started squirting a bit into the toilet to clean the bowl along with a couple drops of Wild Orange or Lemon for a fresh scent. Cleaning is usually a daunting task but using citrus oils will boost your mood so hopefully you enjoy yourself a little more in the process especially when you crank your favorite tunes too.
Many of you may be thinking, sounds easy enough but I want bleach or ammonia to make sure the germs are killed in the process. Let me put your mind at ease. doTERRA was contacted by a researcher with the results of her study using OnGuard on MRSA that was wiped on a typical hard, household surface. As you know, MRSA is almost impossible to get rid of because of it’s ability to rejuvenate itself back to life. In a nutshell not only did the OnGuard kill all organisms but none came back to life. Please contact me if you would like the details of this study.
Another huge change I made was with my laundry. I was a Tide – Gain scented Bounce girl, the stronger the smell the cleaner the clothes was my thought. After I met with a high school friend who was having all kinds of medical problems which after months of no answers, they finally were able to attribute them to the chemicals in her detergent, especially the ones they are not legally forced to include on their ingredients list in the US. It took a little adjustment but I made the change to OnGuard laundry detergent followed by a few drops of Purify on wool dryer balls. I absolutely love how clean my clothes get even when I forget to spot clean (with a dab of the detergent) stains and the natural light fresh smell. You can of course choose the essential oil of your preference to switch up the scent whenever you want. Now I have to avoid the laundry aisle at the grocery store at all costs because the fragrance is too overwhelming for me.
I hope you give these a try and please share with me your new go-to favorite oils to use in keeping your home sparkly fresh. Happy cleaning!!
